About Sarah
I always knew I wanted to be a beauty therapist, which made school options easy! I left college Level 3 qualified and have worked in a variety of salons to gain valuable experience.
The only break I’ve taken from the industry was in the '90s when I spent a year backpacking and worked in retail, on a farm, and had a job raising money for charity - all very different to what I was used to!
Since then, I’ve trained further, have Level 4 certificates for advanced treatments and qualified as an Assessor. I have been hired for promotional work in a prestigious Health Spa, helped launch treatments for other salons, treated VIPs at a product launch party, massaged celebrities, and been interviewed on the radio. Oh, and amongst all, I used to teach belly dance and have had a child!
Organically over time, I realised my interests had moved away from more traditional beauty treatments into 3 main areas; skin, massage, and body contouring.
I love working with clients towards their goals and whether or not you choose to visit me, I’m always happy to offer advice. I also feel strongly about inclusivity providing a safe space free from judgment. Please inform me of your pronouns.
I’m based at the Health Centre in the Millennium Memorial Hall, Kings Sutton, near Banbury. There’s plenty of free parking and a waiting area so if you’re early or have come with someone there’s a warm place to sit.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like advice or information regarding treatments or concerns, or would like to make an appointment.
Why me? Why Lemon Zest Skin & Body Therapy?
Why choose me and my salon to spend your hard-earned cash at?
I’ll tell you why. In fact, why settle for one or two sentences when I can give you 10 reasons!
-
I am highly qualified. I actually left college highly qualified (I was taught so many more things that just aren’t covered as standard any more) and have trained on a regular basis to offer the best to you.
-
I have many (so many!) years of experience behind me and have won prestigious industry awards.
-
Your time at Lemon Zest Skin & Body Therapy is never rushed.
-
I’m not intimidating or stand offish! Over the years various clients have told me they were nervous about coming to a salon, but they found me welcoming and put at ease.
-
I’ve got clients who have followed me around since I left college well over 30 years ago! What a privilege that they trust me and want me to be part of their lives, as they are mine, for such a long journey?! I’ve got to be doing something right!
-
Everything is explained to you, from the treatment you’ll be experiencing to how the couch is set up. I’ve been to places where I simply didn’t know what I should be doing as there was little communication. If you’re new to Lemon Zest, how do you know what to expect if I don’t tell you?
-
I have integrity. You will not be sold a load of treatments if you don’t need them.
-
I love working with, not against, other therapists (I have never thought of others as 'competition') and if I don’t think I can help you or I don’t offer the treatment I know you need for best results I will recommend another professional. I will not line my own pocket to your detriment.
-
I know a lot, but I don’t know it all and I’m not afraid to admit that! I’m always learning for the benefit of myself and my clients. Treatments I’ve offered in the past may not now sit with my ethos and I’m happy to explain why that is and what I offer instead.
-
I have a lovely room in a lovely village with a large waiting area so if you come with someone else they don’t have to sit and wait in the car!
-
Talking of cars there’s a huge car park at the centre where I work. No walking through town worrying how you look after a treatment (head massages, facials, skin treatments aren’t going to leave your hair looking immaculate!) because it’s that certain law that means you’ll bump into the world and his wife!

Oh. Did I say 10 reasons? I seem to have given 11. There you go, here’s another one; I hope to exceed your expectations.
