The risks of DIY skin treatments

Just because you can buy home micro needling kits, doesn’t mean you should.
You can buy them purely because it makes the sellers money, and has nothing to do with them wanting the best for your skin.
Whilst you may think it’s an easy procedure to perform, you could actually cause more damage by bad practice, not using sterile equipment, over treating, using blunt needles, using poor quality and non CE serums, lack of skin prep prior to treatment and incorrect aftercare, and generally having a lack of understanding when it comes to the very clever and complex organ called skin.
Please, please, please leave advanced skin treatments to the professionals.
By home treating you run the risk of infection, ripping the skin creating irritation and sensitivity and even scarring.
Micro needling is a fantastic treatment in the right hands. It encourages collagen production therefore reducing lines and wrinkles. It can help reduce scarring and pigmentation, even out skin tone and large pores and improve skin laxity.
