Why you should wash your make up brushes

Be honest, how often do you wash your makeup brushes?

I’ll be upfront telling you I know I don’t wash mine as often as I should.

Ideally, they should be washed every 7-10 days!

So, what happens if you don’t wash them?

As you can imagine, they harbour germs and bacteria. These can cause infection, spots & congestion and, at worst, bacterial infections such as E Coli.

When they’re washed, they feel so much softer and fluffier without all the grease, dead skin and makeup build up. This in turn makes makeup application easier and better.

I use washing up liquid when I wash mine and it works a treat!

Next time you use your brushes, think about when you can wash them so they’ve time to dry before next use. It’s a small job, but so important.
